Established in the "Vallée de l'Arve", well-known for its screw-cutting and precision mechanics industry,
CONTACTELEC
, created in 1973, has been one of the very first companies to specialize in plastic machining
1973: Mr. Jean-Pierre CHESNEY creates the CONTACTELEC Company as a handcraft establishment. CONTACTELEC will become a specialist in the plastic precision screw-machining.
1981: Mrs. CHESNEY continues the activity, still as a handcraft establishment.
1985: Building of a factory in an industrial estate for small businesses.
Extension of the conventional machinery and increase of the capacity to reach 28 mm throughout the years.
2000:The Company continues to diversify with the purchase of a CNC-lathe with 5 axis.
2006: Take-over of the company by her sons Jean-Luc and Yves CHESNEY, and implementation of a quality-insurance system with the target of achieving ISO 9001 certification.
